Hi, and thankyou for visiting my website. As a child growing up in the United Kingdom I developed a fascination with the natural world around me, in particular birds. I still remember owning a series of "spotter" books in which I used to tick off the bird species I saw in my garden and the surrounding countryside. My interest in photography developed later, mainly through preserving the memories of my travels, many of which were to Australia.
In 2012, my family and I migrated to Perth, Western Australia, where I have been living ever since. The natural landscapes and environment of this part of the world have reignited that fascination I had as a boy. What's different now is that I try to capture this through photography. There is another motive however, being behind the lens of the camera and immersing myself in the natural world, my mind calms, creating an inner peace and a deep sense of satisfaction and enjoyment of doing something I love.
